Premiere of The Box during Motorhistoriska dagen in Trollhättan on June 6

Welcome to the premiere of The Box during Motorhistoriska dagen in Trollhättan on June 6!

More cars than ever before in The Box
Summer 2026 will be especially exciting for everyone interested in Saab cars. The museum is moving into Nova Arena and presenting the temporary exhibition The Box. Between June 6 and September 30, Saab Car Museum will display more cars at one time than ever before! Under normal circumstances, the museum can exhibit around half of its collection of more than 140 cars. In The Box, visitors will instead have the chance to admire over 100 fascinating vehicles, making this a unique opportunity to experience the world’s finest Saab collection in a way that is unlikely to return in the foreseeable future.

All historic vehicles are welcome
Motorhistoriska dagen ((Historic Vehicle Day)) is celebrated in many places across the country to highlight the cultural heritage of historic vehicles. Together with Trestads Veteranbilklubb and Svenska Saabklubben Trollhättan, we welcome all types of historic vehicles. All clubs and enthusiasts are invited, regardless of whether the vehicle has two, three, four, or perhaps even more wheels! Gather your friends and fellow club members and use Motor History Day in Trollhättan as the starting point for your vintage rally, or end a wonderful day on scenic roads by meeting up with other enthusiasts and enjoying each other’s treasured vehicles. There is no space for clubs to set up tents or reserve spots in advance, but you are very welcome to mark your presence with a couple of beach flags next to your cars.

– If the parking areas closest to Nova Arena become full, our volunteers will direct you to nearby parking areas within the site.
The map of Innovatum District shows the different parking areas throughout the district.

Food service:
– The scouts from Trollhättans Scoutkår sell food and drinks outside Nova Arena. Sausages with bread (vegetarian option is available), sandwiches, "fika", coffee, soft drinks, etc. (Alternatives without gluten, lactose and nuts are also available.) Primarily, the Scouts would like payment via Swish, but cash also works.
– Ice cream and snacks are sold inside the museum.

This is Motorhistoriska dagen (Historic Vehicle Day):
Every year, throughout Sweden, the vehicle historical cultural heritage is illustrated through the many events for historic vehicles during Motorhistoriska dagen on June 6. MHRF (The Federation of Swedish Historic Vehicles Clubs) invites affiliated clubs, other associations, commercial organizers, museums and others to celebrate by arranging, for example, meetings, excursions or exhibitions.
The goal of Motorhistoriska dagen is to make the historic vehicles cultural heritage visible. Individual vehicle owners can do this by taking their historic vehicles out and participating in events. If you cannot participate, you can still participate by putting your vehicle up at home. Together, we show the breadth of the historic vehicles movement, both in terms of vehicles, ownership and geography. Another important goal of Motorhistoriska dagen is to draw the attention of the public, media, politicians and decision-makers to the scope of the automotive history movement, thereby creating increased acceptance for the preservation and use of this cultural heritage.
