The exhibition – ”SAAB TURBO – In The Long Run”

In 1Talladega986 and 1996 Saab Automobile performed two endurance tests at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama, USA.

Two world records and also 21 international record were beat during these almost 21 days long, uninterrupted drive. The fastest of the three 9000-turbo cars put 100 000 km behind and it had an average speed of 213,299 km/h.

The Saab Car Museum has two out of the three cars in It’s Collection today – No. 1 & 2, and in honor of the world record the museum has now created a theme exhibition with the help of the Saab veterans and Olle Granlund (initiator and project manager for The Long Run) at the museum. You can find a longer interview about the adventure at Talladega Superspeedway here.
